Update
Just completed the first 1200 kms (800 miles) on my current OCI. ZERO consumption so far. I will post my next 600-800 mi check when it's done. At that point is where I'll likely see some consumption. In this OCI, I'm running non syn 5W30

2011 84K miles.
I just got the car therefore I do not know the history. Oil is at full mark and has been that way in last 500 miles.
I started getting oil service soon light. I am assuming I am at 4500 miles mark. It is Mobile 1 Full Synthentic as per the PO.
I am planning to change oil in another 500 miles and then monitor from there but I suspect it consumes no oil.

As per my 2011 manual, 1.2 qts per 600 miles IIRC is considered within limits.
This sounds extreme to me but if you extrapolate number from traditional 1 qt/1K miles limit for sump that takes 5 qt oil, it sounds not far off for sump that takes 9.1 qts.
Anyways, this is not good because LS430 doesn't consume any oil or have heard anyone who had 4.3 engine that consumes any oil. LS460 should have done better.
At the end of the day, it is not as big of a deal as long as you monitor can dip stick at every gas fill an add oil as needed. Oil is cheap and if you are on top of it then no damage done.

Interesting. 1 QT per 500 miles would equate to a full oil change every 5K miles then. You basically don't have an OCI since you're regularly replenishing with fresh oil.

Interesting thread. I am not aware of any oil consumption on our LS so far. My first "car" I bought on my own was a brand new 06 Tundra Double Cab that consumed 2 qts every 5K miles. This was after the first year and roughly 22K miles. They did the compression tests and monitoring for a week and deemed it normal to consume up to 1 qt per 600 miles, which I thought was pretty ridiculous. I guess secretly I was hoping for Toyota to buyback the truck so that I could get the then-new 2007 redesigned Tundra. Oh well, turned out that 06 Tundra continues to serve our family well and reliably, and is still running strong at ~125K miles. I also recall back in 2007, at that time our 1995 ES 300 with 160K miles only consumed half a quart every 5K miles. We only used Mobil1 full synthetic on both vehicles.

I will be doing the same, I don't know if this thread jinxed me but I've currently added four quarts in just over 5,000 miles. I've never added that much. I can see the oil in the intake so I know it's getting in through the PCV valve system...and I'm sure that's caused by excessive blow by from worn rings. I did a little research and I've read some people start consuming oil when these engines reach the 170,000 mark (I'm at 175,000). So I will try a heavier weight, I imagine that will help things a great deal. 0w20 is a thin oil for a car with that type of mileage and wear.

My local shop works on everything expensive and has dozens of LS cars serviced regularly.
His experience was to run 5/30 synthetic or 5/20 Dino oil.
he mentioned a fully serviced LS something with 500k miles on the original motor,
did not reccomend the 0-20w. Too thin. Too much consumption.
For extreme winter maybe. In so cal no.
i ordered a AGM Bosch battery today rated at 710 CCA.
Previous owners had installed a 585 amp hour cheaper non AGM battery. Motor turns over slightly slow to me.
if I was a winter user I would run the 5-30 synthetic but run a odyssey spiral woud high amp output to start better in winter. $230 battery versus thin oil.....
