Have replaced all suspension, now have redone brake clips etc. Still a bad front right rattle over small bumps, even road gap repairs. Goes away when brakes applied.

Nothing is loose, it is a substantial rattle. Caliper bolts are tight.

Ideas? Bad caliper bolt? Definitely in the brake system.

My problem was either the upper control arms not torqued down enough to pop into the knuckle or a swaybar end link with not enough grease or defective. You can find out if the end link is bad by taking it off and driving around without it. Don't be surprised it a new one is defective. That happened to me and I ended up changing struts prematurely when it was a defective end link that I just put in.

Its in the braking hardware
goes away when brakes applied, anti rattle spring installed, what else could it be? Caliper bolt “stretch”?

Are your pads OE or 3rd party? There is an OE shim between the pad and caliper cylinder, whose function is to prevent clicking noise. Most 3rd party pads don't come with this shim (and some 3rd pad manufacturers claim there is no need for this shim). If the noise goes away when you apply brakes, the cause for it may be the missing shim. Check if this OE shim is missing.

Is it possible to give the part number? I searched the Rock auto website, under centric comes up with just brake pads.

Thanks

If you use "Search this Forum" at the top right of the thread list (top blue bar), you may find answers to many of your questions. I typed in "brake shim" and found this for you: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...as-thanks.html
