Default What are these in my trunk?

The silver attachment points that look like the male end of a seatbelt. There's 4 of them - two hidden behind flaps in the carpet, and they seem to be fairly strong, so they seem to be mounting points for something. I just don't know what.

Well gosh that's funny - I was just poking around back there because I need a cargo net and I was wondering where they attached. I saw the two little plastic hooks on the back wall of the trunk opposite of the tail lights. Goes to follow that there would be attachments on the floor too.

Thank you! I just ordered the cargo net on eBay. Amazon wanted like $200 for an OEM. Got a knockoff from ebay for $16. We'll see how it holds up...

There's a flat cargo net (for those four floor attachments are) and there's a "pouch" net that attaches to the rearmost floor attachments and those on the back/side wall.

They are all cargo hooks, those at the rear can hold the cargo net.
Strap down anything heavy so it doesn't slide around while driving.

The LATCH system hooks in the rear seat area can also be used for
securing items other than child seats. While I have never seen one
in person I have seen photos of Dog Restraint harnesses that use them.

What sucks is the Weathertech cargo liner I have for my LS doesn't have these slots cut out (not completely surprised), I've debated about cutting into the linter to allow this to happen.
The OEM cloth or whatever liner as shown above does though.

Cutting slots in the Weathertech liner would defeat the purpose of the liner and potentially allow dirt and water to get thru.

I only use this net in the front of the trunk. You should be able to install it with the Weathertech liner in place.

Yeah, I have the same Weathertech cargo also. Too bad the design blocks the hooks.

Off topic, I know someone with the same username as you and had a G35 a few years. I wonder if that was you. We used to hang out with ChicagoZ club years ago.

Hi again. Haha.
