Digital Speedometer? Digital clock?
I just had my 2014 Lexus LS460 F Sport delivered ( I probably should've driven one first ). Am I missing something, does this not have an option to display the speed digitally? Or a clock? I've previously owned several S classes, A8's and 750's and so far I'm extremely disappointed in this car and the lack of features and sport. I would appreciate any help, and I'm hoping that I just cant find the correct way to display these. Thank you

Hello, welcome to CL and congrats on your new F sport! It's a great car and you will get many miles and years of driving pleasure from it! Please do post some pics inside and out.
All LSs until now have only the analog speedometer. I am not sure why you got the mistaken impression that they can display speed digitally; any number of pictures would have showed you that. The 2018 LS500 can be configured to display speed digitally, I think.
The digital clock on the dashboard was available until the 2012 MY. 2013-2017 and the LS500 all have analog clocks only. But I am guessing you knew that before you bought this car. I am sure a lot of CLers will tell you that the analog clock looks gorgeous, so enjoy your beautiful car!

Why on earth would you ever buy a car without driving it first? Or doing even the most basic research into its features?

Yep, the MB S class has it [the W220 generation and up, like my 2006 S430; not sure about the very early W220s around 2000-2003]. The E class from 2004 on also has it.
You had to choose it from a menu of display options.
I got used to not having it on my '14 LS and only miss it slightly. The MB S430 from that generation (and up) also has a digital clock.
I think Infiniti started the trend with analog-only clocks.

I can see the value of digital instrumentation to know the precise (and I hope accurate) values, but analog readouts Also show the speed and rpms in context, which is as important, perhaps more so.
Interesting article (and comments):

Yeah I personally prefer analog readouts.

As an aside, I don't recall seeing an analog clock in a car after about 1980 (and the only one I recall in the '90s was the ill-fated Mazda 929). Most of them had digital clocks in the radio/tape/CD player.

My clock doesn't change automatically. This was discussed on here before. You have to go in and click it on and off DST.

Yes, I remember that. But I'm not sure if that was my '07 or '14 LS.
I guess I'll have to wait for the end of the month and see what happens! But if the following is how it works, then it's a "manual" adjustment:
"The auto adjust clock setting lets you set the time manually and disables synchronizing the time via the GPS signal. If one habitually runs a few minutes late for appointments, I can see wanting to set the clock a few minutes fast."
