Default 2006 LS 460 rear wheel drive vibration

I have recently purchased a 2006 Lexus LS 460 done 66,000 kms ex Singapore. There is a bad vibration coming through the steering wheel, floor and gear lever particularly when cold. It is less noticeable when hot but still there.
The wheels have been rebalanced but made no difference. The mechanic said that the vibration is coming through the right gearbox mount and as the mount appears to be in good shape, there was no need to replace it. Is this a problem with the transmission, if so, what should be done to repair it.
Thanks for considering this issue.

Honestly I have this problem too. In the mornings when I drive to work I get a some vibration but the car has been running on the freeway for about 5-10 mins it dulls down. I have rebalanced my tires twice with the same issue. Here's the thing though when my car sits out in the afternoon or on hot days and I drive any where (freeway, road) I don't get any vibration. So my best bet would be the tires because It's not consistently giving me vibrations. It seems like when they warm up I don't have vibration. I've read on this forum that some people have had luck replacing their tires to a different brands and the vibration has gone away. Road force balancing has also help some members. Have you check your front control arms? If they're all cracked or busted that might be the culprit of your steering shimmy/vibration.
