i believe this is incorrect. Tesla regulates the charge to ensure that doesn't happen. What is bad for the battery is letting it become fully depleted.
From a common sense standpoint, Tesla wouldn't build a network of superchargers if their use adversely affected battery life significantly.
You'll see a mixture of responses, but IMO the true answer is pretty clear.
