As long as the transmitter is compatible with the Lexus/Toyota TPMS receiver, I think any brand will be comparable. The OEM Denso (Pacific) sensors are available on Amazon for about $40.

Default TPMS/Tire Rotation

I read where on some vehicles these have to be reset after tire rotation. Is this true with the LS460's?

Yes, I believe that is correct, the new sensors must be registered with the car's system.

I thought we already answered this, but NO, Rotating the tires does not require any calibration. The system doesn't care which part of the car you've mounted the tires. You could pile them all in the back seat or trunk and the system will still read the sensors.

New sensors have to be registered to the car's computer but rotating doesn't require any intervention.

And just as a reminder, if you have second set of tires mounted on wheels, e.g. snow tires, don't store them in the garage where you park the car. The system will go nuts trying to read nine sensors.

You may be able to find these on Amazon too, but when I replaced all 5 of mine in January I got Denso sensors from RockAuto, I used a 5% discount code (enter: SSPA17 for "How Did You Hear About Us?" if you want that and don't have something better). That was the best price I could find.

For a 2007 LEXUS LS460 the part number is: DENSO5500103 (550-0103) Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Sensor which is the same as the OEM item Lexus uses. They run $33.79 each. Total cost for five is $167.49 with shipping and discount appled, which I decided was cheap enough to merit a full replacement while Costco was installing my new set of shoes, and cost of installation was included. Replacing them as they fail requires paying for remounting and the hassle of extra trip(s) to the tire shop.
