OK, quick couple of items to get off my chest:

1. My '08 LS460 blew a headlight bulb. Shopped online, picked up the Philips bulb for $47. Found a very cool video that explains how to replace. Called a couple dealers just for giggles to find out what they'd charge to do it...both wanted $175 for the bulb and $145 for the labor. WTH? How crazy is that? Makes me nervous I'm buying the wrong bulb, but from everything I've seen, I'm spot on. This is what I bought in case you're curious:
Amazon Amazon

2. One of our other cars is having some bodywork done so I've been driving a brand new Subaru Outback for the past week. Decided to take my LS today. The Outback is a great car and was fantastic in a blizzard we had last week, but man, it certainly made me appreciate my 9 year old, 97,000 mile LS460 even more!

Random thread over. Cheers!

No lie they claim they have to remove the bumper. It takes about 15 min to peel the wheel well liner out of the way and reach in and change the bulb. I bought mine on Amazon for $30 for 2. I didn't get a loaner car though.

Same with my 2005 Prius - only they wanted $600 to remove the bumper and headlight to replace the bulb. Got a bulb for $30 online and squeezed my hand back there to swap it out. Thank goodness for the internet (and Google/YouTube)!

The dealership told me they had to remove the front bumper on my 460 to replace the bulb and they charged me $500.
