Door panel should be exactly the same. Just make sure you are comparing apples to apples...
With the L, you should have the semi-aniline leather with the stitching on the door handle, and not the panel with the handle that is made of the vinyl-like material that has been prone to melting/deterioration.
Just assure you are purchasing the exact same panel and you should be fine.

Read this thread here, good stuff! Hope this helps.

Why are you doing this? Can it be repaired? Front or rear panel? What exactly are you concerned about the new panel not working?

Look for as late a model as you can find - the earlier ones had issues with the door pull/panel cracking/melting (getting sticky), especially the 2007.

I believe the previous owner was a obese person. Very heavy wear on the center console arm rest and very heavy wear on the driver door panel arm rest, which is now completely cracked and flaking apart!

Might be worth checking with your dealer - the armrest cracking and foam failure on the center console have been "goodwilled" by Lexus in a couple of cases and blown off in others. Worth a try!

Had the same exact kind of wear on mine. Replaced the driver side lower b pillar and the center console armrest. You can swap these out on your own with relative ease and save quite a bit in the process. Very pleased after doing so. The beat up armrest and pillar really diminished the interior for me.
