Default fuel injector driver box

Curious if anyone has had this issue I own a 2007 ls460 clean and well cared for 57k on the dash .. out last Thursday night and on my way home I get the VSC error check engine and all that fun stuff. I get the car home but running real rough and a slight shake at acceleration. Next day pull codes and got an injector code for cyl8 P0208injector circuit open.. put in new port injectors thinking that was it but no go still goth the same code..We swapped positions of the injector control boxes around as there are 2 that sit on top of engine and they are the same part number… and the code moved to cylinder 8 to the same code but on cyl 6 .. put the boxes back in order than code goes back to cyl 8 from 6 .. so seems like a faulty or bad driver injector module / box .. Lexus wants 900 for this boxscrew that .. I ordered used on ebay from top rated and should be here tomorrow.

Has anyone ever run across this ? or actually have the lower primary injectors actually go bad? Could not find much on this on the board ? hope this can help someone will report back if this cured the issue also

yes, every 4gen LS have this bug. The order of a new box is not neccessary. Thing is those drivers use high voltage to drive direct injection injectors. So, any dirt in the sockets, kinks in wiring etcetc will hinder it's performance.
Use plenty of electronics spray, clean the connectors and you're golden. Yes, i DO have used injector driver from ebay, but never needed to install it. Yes, i had same DTC.
This happened to at least 2 ppl with LS4 i know. Now i know 3)

ps. don't expect in-depth tech advises on this board. mostly tire-kickers here and 'oil change solved my problems' people.
ps2. i hope you did NOT PAY OVER $50 for the ebay one! If it's more - return for a refund!
ps3. the reason for running rough after this dtc was set is not car malfunctioning, but rather ecm setting emergency mappings. When it happened to me, dtc reset on the spot made car run like it should. I didnt even shut the engine off, just hotplugged my Toyota IT2, read/clean codes, be on my way.

If you check my posts you will see my contribution goes well beyond kicking rubber (e.g. ls430 subwoofer writeup). This is my second LS and i am in a car service industry.
My jab wasnt to insult, but to... stimulate?

As have I (Spark Plug DIY, diff fluid change, Vaistech Install, By pass module install, LED side view mirror install etc etc). But I certainly wouldn't be so cocky as to see a need to point out that other members were less contributory than I. You can call it "stimulate", but I doubt others will agree. Perhaps it's just RU culture.

I will take any knowledge I can get from anybody no matter how simple or complex. A car repair person needs to be a sponge. This tip fron Lynzoid if needed is priceless. I hope my knowledge I share about the inner workings of car dealerships doesn't offend anybody. We need car dealers but they are brutal places.
