Oil Filter flapper splash guard shield
Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone has replaced the plastic flapper that covers the oil filter under the engine for a 2011 LS460? The one I have has been cut by the previous owner and slips off and drags on the road. I currently put a drywall screw to keep it in place !! No laughing please.....
I called the dealer and was told that it is part of the entire engine cover which costs $375. I searched all over Google and no one seems to have what I'm looking for, not even a used one
Just though I'd ask what you all have done instead of biting the bullet and buying a new one.
Thanks!
Alberto

I would get on the horn with one of the companies on this list and try to secure the whole panel for less than 100.

I don't see how your going to get a door for that thing, like you said it's part of the entire assembly. I'd just find a piece of plastic the same size and wire tire it up in there...drill a few holes through the assembly and plastic door and then secure it.
