Cracked panels and sticky dash warranty.
Hello CL members. I might be late but maybe someone else received one as well. I received a letter from lexus stating that they'll cover cracked dash panels, sticky dash and some sticky rear panels as well under warranty even if your car is out of warranty. I see the cracked dash issue happening more and more often to members and its something thats happened to me as well so this would be good. Not sure how long this letter came since I receive mail at 2 different addresses and seldomly check where it came. When I have a chance, I'll take a pic of the letter and post it.

Got one for my moms 05 GX470 haven't gotten one for my car though. Her dash is full of cracks not sticky though. My dash is still good. My uncles 09 Camry's dash is horrible. They're probably going to take care of the lexus's before working on the Toyotas.

Anyone know if this might cover wood grain panels as well? My dash (an all other vinyl) in my car is fine, but I do have several hairline cracks in a couple of wood inserts (console and doors).

Has anyone had their panels replaced under this program yet?
I went to the dealership the other day and am now on the waiting list to get an inspection done, after which they will approve which panels they will replace, and once that occurs I will then be placed on a waiting list for the particular panels that need to be replaced.
They said it's not a 'first come first serve' type deal, but more of one where they are receiving random shipments of panels and they will call you to come in based on what you need/what they receive, and it could happen either sooner or later.

This is good info. My door arm rest just cracked as well as the inside of the door looks crappy. I'm calling tomorrow to check and I've copied and printed out this letter.
Thank you!!

I called my dealership this morning only to find this is good for the 07 LS460. I called the 800 Lexus care number and got a nice guy. He is giving my info to a case worker to review. Said I'd hear something within 48 hours. If they offer anything, that would be pretty cool. We shall see.

I really lucked out with this.... I just bought my car two weeks ago, which was pretty much perfect condition other than the door panels and parts of the dash. Because of that, they discounted the car quite a bit compared to if it didn't have those issues. To get them replaced for free sounds like best case scenario for me.

My dealer told me that mine missed the cutoff, although it is still an '07 model. I hope they extend this to include all models affected, not just the very early production ones.

It's amazing that a company would replace cosmetic parts on a 9 year old car. I have not seen the damage you guys are talking about, but i have had many cars that suffered from this problem as well. Just none of them a lexus.

The VIN for my '07 was not listed on the "Warranty Enhancement Program" notification, but my local dealer told me last May that my "sticky" door panels would be replaced under the program - but the parts were not available from Lexus. As of October, the parts were still not available.

Lexus called and they aren't going to replace the panel. In fact the lady said it's only the lower part of the door not the top where the arm rest is located. But she said if I took it in the the dealership for an inspection, they might do an assist. I'm thinking about finding someone who repairs cracks. I've seen it on youtube, but locating someone here in town may be the challenge. Either way, the car is still awesome and I smile every time I get in the car!

My brother n law got his dash replaced about 3 weeks ago. He did not get any letter about the interior replacement. He told me that he was at the dealership for oil change and he just asked them about it, his service advisor said that he will look into it. Service advisor came back and ask him when can he drop his car off for the dash replacement. He also asked about the panels also and they said that when they get more panels and the right color in, they will give him a call to set up an appointment.
