Never did. I have the mandatory "I Agree" button in my 2005 Prius (Gen 4) but not on any later models (see sig, below).

Default Nav System Update Preview

I believe the Lexus web site allows you to enter your location and they tell you what changed in the latest update for your area. You are only updating road data and POIs and there is a year or more lag in getting road changes mapped, coded and released into updates. You can also ask for a Grace Notes update at the same time, this is the stored data on album music data & track titles.

What is the Service menu hack Tee, and how do I get there?

Here you go

This will only work on 2007 with the original Nav map version 6.? that requires pushing 'I Agree' during startup.

Thanks for the help Tee!

I'm Happy to say that I'm past that version!

I have been contemplating an upgrade also for my 09' LS, but curious does anyone know if it would affect the Prestigious Society bypass module if I updated?

I have never heard of nav updates breaking the function of the bypass

Map upgrades here in Australia are nearly $400.00! Mind you, the cars are nearly $200,000 each new!

Unfortunately you can't turn off the "I Agree" function. You have to upgrade the Nav system.

Well you guys are no fun hahah. I should update. I'm just lazy. I have to go to the dealer soon anyway. Turning on the cam is cool. But other than that there is nothing much. Screen calibration is good though

I update every 2 years because they only update certain small things. My big complaint was the street I live was not shown on 2009 or 2012 updates. They had my house plotted but no streets showed up and the street is in a 1200 home subdivision. My street had been been built in 2000 but still didn't show on Lexus navigation. I was beginning to distrust other things such as not being able to get a remote start from Lexus dealer. They don't sell them in Atlanta I was told by Nalley Lexus. I upgraded on the special $99 in December 2014 and lo and behold my street showed up.
So my recommendation would be to update every 2 or 3 years.

I had the update done about a year ago. I took my car in and the mech didn't return my USB drive the update came on.
My question is if my hard drive ever quits and I replace and it will I'm sure I'll have to pay Lexus again for current version...
Is it true that the USB no longer has the update on it after they're done? I haven't asked but I'm going back to inquire..
