Default No More Sticky Dashboards!

Hey Guys,

Thought I update you on this. Just got home to recieve this letter in the mail from Lexus.

Says they will replace Dash and Doors for 2007 Lexus LS460, and 2006-2008 IS250/350.

Will replace panels only due to heat or humidity. Guess I am in luck!

Unbelievable.
I don't see any other manufacture providing this level of satisfaction well after the warranty for something purely cosmetic.

How is this defect showing when it does? My dash so fine. One door panel has a small mark here and there. It's not sticky, greasy if anything. I have yet to clean the interior since I bought the car. Been a month .

You don't see it much in the winter. But today it was sunny, and my dash was sticky. In the summer, it remains sticky all the time. It has also melted a little from the passenger side a bit. Your dash should appear shiny, and sticky to the touch.

Thats good to know. My radio bezel has a small crack right above the ac vent on the left side. I've looked this up and it seems to be an issue but it didnt bother me much so I left it alone. Now I can have it repaired.

Can't wait to get my letter in the mail! My LS does not seem to have this issue but my IS350 definitely has the issue and I have complained about it to the dealer and directly to Lexus twice already... Glad they are finally doing something about this...

Interesting. I'm familiar with the problem and have a 2008 IS250 and 2007 LS460. Haven't received anything from Lexus yet.

I guess this is something that was addressed in the 2008+ models ?

Did I miss something here; who's eligible for this replacement program?

My dash and door panels always have this haze that develops on it, even if I wipe it off a day before. It seems as if the chemical compounds that make up the materials are gassing off and leaving this residue.

I have an '07 with aftermarket warranty.

Sounds like you're covered since you have 2007. Does Lexus have your home address? Contact your dealer and give them your VIN.

Thanks I'll check into it. Yeah they have my address. I received a recall notice about a "Potential Fuel Pressure Sensor Leak" just a few weeks ago.
