Navi not working "Unable to read data"
Hi guys, this is how my story goes...... so i just purchase this 07 LS460 96K miles less then 2 weeks ago, everything was working fine for the first few days then the navi screen keeps on popping up this message "Unable to read data, please consult dealer" I did many research on this forum and it seems like it's a bad HDD and I have also read it cost 15k to have it replace and such. I just bought the car and its out of factory warranty with the year and miles.... can anyone give me some advice on the best solution to have this fix? I see this unit on eBay from this totaled 2010 LS, http://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-LEXUS-LS460-HDD-NAVIGATION-SCREEN-WITH-AC-SCREEN-CONTROLS-86430-50430-/151500262092?hash=item23461e8acc&vxp=mtr will this be a cheaper route? but does it feed my 2007? I am just so frustrated right now and have no idea what i should do......

Try to find one for 07-09, I don't think this fits your car.
I would also try to take it to the dealer to do a NAV update, it is $99+ labor till end of the year. There is a slim chance that this can reinitialize the disk and fix the problem
Good luck and keep us posted!

Call United Radio in Syracuse NY. They can probably replace the HDD for a LOT less that the dealer replacing the entire unit. You could try the update suggested above but I think that's a long shot.
