i have both the ivic-i and the prestigious society override together and they work very well. without the override, you need to punch in a code in order to view video on ivic-i. but with the override, you don't need to do the codes anymore. few other friends of mine have the same setup

yes, if you don't have self park feature, the ivic has conflict i believe and the backup camera doesn't work. happened to a friend of mine

I have an 08 swb without self park and I bought the Ivic from vaistech for the iphone thinking I would only loose the backup camera and to my surprise it didn't work .A friend of mine who installed his ivic in his 08 Ls460L was doing the install and it really suprised both of us that it would not work at all. I had also previously heard you would only loose the backup camera.
Anyway,I ended up selling it to another friend of mines and CL member!

did it just not work at all? what is ivic-i or ivic-d?

i installed ivic-d on my friend's 08 ls460 with no self park and it worked except losing the backup camera

The ipod screen showed up but that was it.
It was the Ivic-i. Wish it would've worked!😖
Maybe vaistech will have something in the future for the swb!

good info, i need to check with vaistech to see if ivic-i has even more limitations than ivic-d (as it seems), that's a real bummer

Sorry but I'm considering this update and have a few questions. I have an 08 LS460 SWB with park assist, will the ivic-i work with this unit. I'm not into advanced music or anything, I just want to be able to control my iphone5 and my ipod through the head unit and not just the aux cable. Also the plug for my iphone5 and ipod (4 years old) are totally different, will this work for both or just my iphone5 or is there another cable I can use for my ipod.

if you want just sound playback, mml would be good enough for you, it has usb ports and you can use either the 30-pin or the lightning cable
