Security System Indicator Lights Flashing 24/7
I have done 2 searches but came up with nothing regarding a 2010 LS 460L. My security system indicator lights are flashing 24/7 regardless of the car being locked or not. Page 113 is not very clear about how to shut them off. I played with so many buttons yesterday after we got home with the car I may have triggered something without even knowing it. I do not recall that they were doing that yesterday when we picked the car up. Could someone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks
Dennis

Do they flash all the time? We will leave the car parked for several months at a time. I have concerns that they will drain the battery?

Really, are you kidding me. There is no way to turn these off? How about pulling a fuse for the security system? Anyone know which fuse that is?

You will have to pull more than just that fuse, several other systems also draw power, e.g. radio, clock, ecu and nav system and maybe other stuff. Check you manual for the locations of the fuse panels, there are 3 or 4 of them.
Additionally, if you are storing the car that long here is my advice -
1. Inflate the tires to 44 pounds. There are pads you can buy to put under the tires. I never used them, but I know guys who do. They may or may not help.
2. Fill the tank with gas and add Stabil.
3. Use a battery tender (I would not pull the fuses)
4. Place a desiccant inside the car to absorb moisture.
5. Change the motor oil (synthetic is best).
6. Wash the car, clean the interior and treat the leather surfaces with a non-silicone conditioner.

If you are not going to drive the car for extended periods I would invest In a battery tender jr. They run 25-30 bucks on eBay.
Then you won't have any worries. I have one on my MINI cooper all the time. I only drive it every couple weeks or so.

I will need to look into a Battery Tender JR then. We leave our car parked for 3-4 months while we are in HI for the winter.

We live on our 42' sailboat that we keep out there. The downside is that I find I drink more scotch and smoke more cigars while I am at the end of the dock watching the sun go down. It is just something I have to deal with, what can I say.

Thanks Keith
That lowers my concern level. I will still get a battery tender jr. before we park it for the winter. Maybe I can get my brother to come over and drive it every now and then while we are gone? I am sure he would consider it a step down from their Dodge Mini Van.

I have the same situation for my newly bought used 2012 LS 460. I parked it in my garage with the doors unlocked & the security light flashes 24/7.
Just want to confirm: there is no way to shut off the flashing lights?
