I picked up my Work Zistance wheels this week and am not 100% on what tires sizes to get.

The wheels have the following offsets:

21x9.5 25mm R disk Front
21x10.5 17mm W disk Rear.

W Disk = max lip size

To keep a long story short, I am not lowered yet, but doing coilovers eventually instead of air. I use my LS for a daily and occasionally for business purposes, so I am not planning on slamming the car. Just closing the fender gap. There is not a ton of info on tire sizes for 21's. I have searched online and on CL.

Does anyone have any advice on tire sizes for the width of the wheels to avoid rubbing and be safe? I may run at stock height for a bit, and definitely do not want to roll my fenders.

I know hankook offers 21s and at a good price, but I had them on my GS and it seemed like they had a tall sidewall as opposed to falkens I had previously that were more rounded. My buddy had them on his 750 and they wore out quickly.

I see some 245 and 255 offerings for the front, and 275, 285, and 295 offerings for the rear at 35, 30, or 25.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I run 21x10.5 front and rear. My rear offset is +25 and it's pretty close. I cut half of my rear quarter panel lip. At that 245 clears. With your offset it might clear with 245. The 275, 285, and 295 will rub for sure

Well that's not good as I told the seller to pick offsets that would work at stock height and with a slight drop. My fault I guess for not researching more.

Up front 245/35, wheel offset is fine.
Typical sizing for 10.5 rear w/ 21's would be 285/30... but you will rub when lowered due to the +17 rear offset. Will need to shave your fender lips and/or run smaller tire to stretch a little to get clearance- maybe a 265 or 255/35, 265 or 255/30 if have those sizes. May need even more fender work (pulling, etc) & resulting bodywork depending on how low your ride height will be on coils

Lbintab, how much of a stretch is a 245 on a 10.5 wheel? Is it safe for a daily?

I saw the pics in your build thread, but hard to see the stretch.

Thanks. I looked around quite a bit last night and seems like a lot of people are running 245s on a 10.5 wheel, some even doing 225. I was hoping for a wider tire out back, but might be 245s all around like lbintab.

Going to be a minute before I get them either way as I am selling my home and looking for another. Always tons of additional expenses that pop up. For now, I just get to stare at them lol.

I will post pics for sure once they are installed.

I run a 255 on a 10.5 also. Probably going to go down to a 245 at least.

245/35 all around. Elvin "lbintab", and I have 21x10.5 all around...and he daily his car. We drove 800+ mile from Norcal to SoCal...it feel fine. You have a very nice set of Work wheels, get a semi-stretch look to compliment it.

I run a 235/35 & 245/35 on my 10.5

I was running a 225/35 but switched over California roads arent the best.

Nice wheels! As far as tires, I'd say sit back think longevity if you are going to be putting serious miles down, especially with a full car. If it's a local banger, go all out! Here in Cali, you can't go to city to city with out encountering 20 different pavement styles, pot holes or doo doo repairs. Think about the area you live in road wise! My buddy put 9's with 245's front, 10.5 with 255 rear to clear the fender on bounces. Can't lie, look good as ****!!!!! But, limited in distance, loads, and shortened those oh-**** moments.....also, just because someone else made it doesn't mean you will. Just a thought! In the end, regardless to what we say, it's your buck. Chose wisely, I'd rather a ride that with out a doubt can put miles down, than to have one looking hot yet questionable when you need it the most.

I put about 10k miles on my car. With SF Bay Area roads to deal with and I haven't had issues. Not everyone will have the same experience. I had a lot more issues with 22s. Issues from how it road, vibration, etc.

Thanks everyone for your input. My office moved, so my drive to work is a hour at minimum daily. I am moving closer hopefully in the next few months, so my commute will be cut in half. The roads in Florida are pretty nice, so not too many potholes to worry about. My car sits all weekend as we use my wife's Sienna everywhere we go. Sounds like 245/35 all around it is.
