interior paint chipping
hey guys wanted some advice on an annoying issue. the silver piece of trim thats around the navi screen that goes up to the clock is chipping, under it is a very bright finish and depending on how the sun hits it, it can be blinding. i called sewell and they said they don't sell the part alone, you have to basically buy the whole dash over which I'm not going to do, anybody have any suggestions ?

That trim piece is listed separately and should be available but it won't be cheap:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-09-OEM-NEW-LEXUS-LS460-INTERIOR-NAVIGATION-SCREEN-TRIM-W-VENTS-2007-2008-2009-/400689277971?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ALexus%7CModel%3ALS460&hash=item5d4af12c13&vxp=mtr.
Call Sewell Lexus and ask them for the part number and then look it up on their site. Alternatively, take it off and paint it (or have it painted) yourself.

Yes, the 2010 is a slightly diff shape and color. You can still get it from Lexus. If you want to pay (a little) less, you could try the junkyards. Call Sewell Lexus and ask them how much it is first. Remember you get a SIGNIFICANT discount from them by logging on with your Club Lexus info.
