This is what he is shipping: The DBALL2 runs $69 shipped and I will flash it for 3x lock."

My unit was attempted delivery Friday but my office was closed so I should get it Monday.

Default Easy installation

I finally install the remote start over the holidays and it works!

I purchased the pre-loaded firmware DBALL2 off ebay from 'doug43235' for $59.95 back in July. Been sitting in garage since. Install it on 2007 LS460.

I only connect the wires from the BLUE adapter as indicated from SLIMJIMTEL. That's all needed for basic functionality. The RED, BLACK, and WHITE adapter all went into the trash. I believe the installation requires a bit of electrical experience, since you cannot splice into 12V low gauge wire. ( I just shoved both wire in adapter. Ghettofied Not recommended) Also requires putting in a terminal for ground wire.

The installation was fairly simple IMO for remote start.

FYI - I have the DVD/NAV bypass install behind the touchscreen. I noticed that DVD no longer play video after installing the DBALL2. Not sure if this is related but seem to happen right after DBALL installation.

I tapped into mine no issues. You need red T-Taps.

But hey...sometimes the Ghetto approach is good too!

You will need a soldering gun, solder, razor blade and electrical tape. Installation is easy, (I have soldered only once before, replaced a Sonic toothbrush battery). Don't cut the wires, strip about 1/2 to 1", split the wires down the middle and push the wires through, loop around and twist, solder. Shrink tubing would be hard if not impossible, there isn't a whole lot of room to work with and cutting the wires would make splicing them and soldering harder. If you find the z6 module, would you mind posting a pic, I could not for the life of me locate it. Thanks.

I didn't see the t-taps posts, that looks easier. I wish I knew about them when I installed mine.

Only if you choose to do it that way. I for one, am one of those who always chooses to solder over any other way of doing connections. However, it's overkill in this case and the area is not subject to corrosion or water intrusion. T Tap is so much easier. But to each his own!

Default FL Install?

Any members out there living in either Jacksonville, Orlando or Tampa areas that have done one of these and would be willing to do mine? I'm the least mechanically inclined person I know :-) and I'd trust one of you guys any day of the week over some shop that I randomly pick.

Obviously, I'm willing to fairly compensate you for your time. I live in NE Florida but travel to the Tampa area once a month.

Thanks guys.
