LS remote start install DIY
What module is he currently offering? I've yet to try flashing a dball2 an trying the 3x lock start... i have a full alarm connected so it'll be harder for me to use my car as a tester...
My unit was attempted delivery Friday but my office was closed so I should get it Monday.
I finally install the remote start over the holidays and it works!
I purchased the pre-loaded firmware DBALL2 off ebay from 'doug43235' for $59.95 back in July. Been sitting in garage since. Install it on 2007 LS460.
I only connect the wires from the BLUE adapter as indicated from SLIMJIMTEL. That's all needed for basic functionality. The RED, BLACK, and WHITE adapter all went into the trash. I believe the installation requires a bit of electrical experience, since you cannot splice into 12V low gauge wire. ( I just shoved both wire in adapter. Ghettofied
Not recommended) Also requires putting in a terminal for ground wire.
The installation was fairly simple IMO for remote start.
FYI - I have the DVD/NAV bypass install behind the touchscreen. I noticed that DVD no longer play video after installing the DBALL2. Not sure if this is related but seem to happen right after DBALL installation.

But hey...sometimes the Ghetto approach is good too!

As stated....red T Taps and if you're ike me and **** about neatness and such, wire ties/zap straps.
I didn't see the t-taps posts, that looks easier. I wish I knew about them when I installed mine.

I'm curious if anyone knows what firmware he's using to flash these modules... I'd guess he has it saved an is flashing from that... if so... that's great!!!! Keep the 3x lock remote start party goin....
Any members out there living in either Jacksonville, Orlando or Tampa areas that have done one of these and would be willing to do mine? I'm the least mechanically inclined person I know :-) and I'd trust one of you guys any day of the week over some shop that I randomly pick.
Obviously, I'm willing to fairly compensate you for your time. I live in NE Florida but travel to the Tampa area once a month.
Thanks guys.
