puddle lights not turning on when key fob is in proximity
Shouldn't the puddle lights turn on when approaching the vehicle with the key fob? They will only come on if i unlock the vehicle with the fob. My lights come on with my 2008 ES350.

1. The car must be locked
2. The electronic key must be within 2.3 ft of the door handles
3. The outer foot lights must not be disable in the customizable options

They come on if the vehicle is in a locked state and is unlocked using the fob. If I approach with fob in hand locked or unlocked, they do not activate.
I checked for the option to disable/enable, if there one where can I find it?

The customizable option requires an electronic tool to check or alter that setting. I don't know for sure but I don't think it, the outer foot light, would come on in response to the electronic key if it was disabled.
You need to check the "touch-open" feature to see if that works. With the electronic key in your hand, press and release the LOCK symbol on the electronic key and then see if you can open the door by touching and pulling on the handle.

Techstream software along with ODB to USB cable is less than $30 shipped on ebay. I have it and it works great for changing personalized settings. There is also a new android app that works with a bluetooth dongle that allows you to access your settings. There is a thread on this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...-try-this.html
