Default Save those pinch welds when floor jacking

Saw this posted on the Lexotic Facebook page...finally a way to floor jack our cars and not damage that pinch weld and we can use the proper jack points. It goes in between your circular jack pad and the pinch rail sits in the groove. I think there are companies that make the hockey puck with a slot as well, but these look pretty nice! I'm sure some of us have been frustrated with this issue or used other areas to jack up the car. This one is made by Figs

Looks quality. I've been too lazy to make something for my floor jack, so I just used the pinch welds as is for my lifting. I've done so at least 5 or 6 times in the last few weeks, and so far no damage to them. Maybe my jack pad is more forgiving, I dunno. I may just go ahead and make one from one of my son's hockey pucks....cut a big 'ol slice halfway through it and epoxy it on.

Yeah, this one is about $29 each on the Figs website. The hockey puck ones I have seen on Amazon are around $17. I used to have access to a lift at the recreation employee area for my company, but they got rid of that. We had a 4 bay auto hobby shop with lifts and access tools, etc and I used my work badge to get in 24/7/365...it was awesome for quick wheel swaps using those lifts!!!! Really sucks we don't have that anymore, so now I'm doing wheel swaps at home again. I don't live close to an active duty base that has an auto hobby shop either, so yet another defeat lol

There are a ton of options for jack pads/adapters; another alternative is hockey pucks (with slits cut into them).

Actually had no idea bro...but then again I didn't overly research on it either since I always had the lifts to use...but now, I have to do the one wheel at a time thing lol

As alway great find. My pinch weld got a little messed up but there are other points. This is a good option beats laziness.

I bought a regulation hockey puck at the local thrift store today for a buck. 10 minutes later with a hack saw and I have a jack pad . LOL
