I recently purchased a 2009 LS460. So far I have been impressed. I traded a 2007 E320 Mercedes Bluetec with 182,000 miles. The Mercedes was a great car but the LS460 is a much nicer car. My other past car have been a Audi Allroad, BMW M3, 525, 740IL, 745LI, and numerous other brands. The only wish that I have is that there were more aftermarket parts to purchase for the Lexus like BMW's. My wife's car is a 2010 Infiniti M35X. The Infiniti will handle the snow like my Audi did.

Hey bweirich, welcome to the Club! It's great to have a new member with such a long car resume.

I'm not really familiar with what is available for aftermarket parts for the Lexus vs. the BMW, but there are several members on this forum who have extensive knowledge. Just look for some of the lengthy "build" threads here. Also, be sure to read the stickies at the top of this forum.

Good luck with your new car, and don't be a stranger!

Welcome to the LS460/600 team. I highly recommend reviewing the FAQ sticky thread as a one stop shop to see topics you are interested in.

No kidding. After trading in my 745i, my wallet has been getting fatter. Such a relief to be rid of that emabassing POS.

WELCOME!

Welcome. I purchased a CPO 2011 LS in early December and am also very impressed. This is my first imported car (I was a member of the Buy American Club for 50 years) and I see why Lexus has such a well deserved impeccable reputation.

Actually my expenses for my Mercedes was very small. My son works at a very large dealership that sells multiple import brands and there is a very good family discount. In the 4 years that I owned the car the biggest expense was a intercooler replacement. But with the extra money that I will not spend on this car.... a BMW M5 is on my wish list.
