Winter Tires
Tried to search for possible winter tires sizes, but can't seem to find anything. I need to get snow tires and plan to mount on my OEM 18" wheels. I am thinking of 215/55R18 as they are the closest to the stock 235/50R18 tire size. I want to go thinner for winter, but will the 215/55R18 work with the stock 18" wheel or should I got 225/55R18 which is a little taller? Anyone with any experience would be helpful.
why not just stick to 235/50/18? I say this because the LS is a heavy car and I think 235 is narrow enough for snow. plenty of cars about 800lbs lighter run wider tires in the winter..
I know narrower is better on snow, but we aren't exactly running 255/275 tires here..

That is way to thin in my opinion. Most of the roads are plowed unless ya live in timbuctu. 215 on an LS I think you would be sorry to have such a well engineered car on skinny skins.
Pa4 has a upcoming rebate on Nov1 Nice 170 LW 60 or LS 60 I forget like 170 bucks for my ls430 with 245/45/18

This is what I would run. Just bought these for our Camry for the winter. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....utoModClar=RWD

One suggestion is to get a second set of rims. The change over is easier and it keeps your other wheels nice.
