I'm looking to update my 2010 LS 460 made in Oct. 2009.

The updates are usually available just about now, the Sept to Oct. time frame. Just call your service department and have them notify you when they get the new update.

I just bought an '11 LS in August and had them throw in an update for the nav. I assumed it was the '13 edition as I don't think they update them every year.

The updates come out in September or October of each year. If you got your car in August you most likely got the 2012 version of the maps.

anyone figure out a cheaper alternative in the "uploading" cost? I don't mind the $170 for the USB data.. I just have a problem paying $120 for someone to upload it to the car's hard drive.

Don't think it is a DIY project, Lexus uses their own proprietary software.

Others have mentioned success buying the $30 techstream software and cable on ebay but I don't think anyone has done a diy yet..you can also change vehicle personal settings with this tool for the 07 to 09 models
