The sound system in my 2008 LS 460 suddenly stopped and a loud thumping noise comes up in all speakers even if the radio is turned off. There is no music at all only that loud noise. Bluetooth does not work as well as command voice and the GPS guiding system. I had to remove the fuse to stop the thumping sound. To answer my telephone I must pull on the side of the road and turn off the motor. Car dealership said that it is the first time they see that. The car is schedued to be looked at in a couple of days. Any ideas ????

They can repair it for 325.00ish dollars and ship back with in a day of receiving it.

Are the guys in New York reputable? Mine went out in my LS 430. The dealer wants $500 for a refurb amp.

Alright I need help. Guy at Lexus Dealer specifically pointed out where my amp was. Told him I would remove it myself and send to United Radio. He shows me the box right beside my Nav in the trunk. No numbers or letters visible so I take his word for it. 40 minutes later and with bloody knuckles I remove the box and call United Radio only to learn from them that this is my radio unit. Can someone please direct me to the location of the amp in a 2004 Lexus LS 430? Apparently the dealership doesn't even know.

I had the same issue happen to me over the weekend. Lexus of Concord claims it could have been caused by my aftermarket sub and amp in the trunk...
