Default Screen for LS460

Go to any electronics store and buy an in-dash aftermarket Navigation system. They will look professional and be very functional. I prefer Alpine. however, Kenwood's use the Garmin unit and that is a very dependable unit.

Exactly! Don't bother with OEM. Never ceases to amaze me that a car costing over $70k new does not come standard with NAV. ..mind boggling

unfortunately there is no dash kit for the LS. so to mold 1 in will be 1 off custom.. the shop better be up to par if not it'll look like hell...

assuming that the radio components behind the plastics are separate from the climate control stuff it shouldn't be too hard for a shop that can custom a dash kit. I can see where a cut line would be. The only concern i would have is from that entire center dash unit the radio portions are more than 70% of it. So If you put a double din unit you'll have a ton of space to fill with something. What i would do is if your friend plans on doing air ride leave room for a place to mount digital gauges.

I agree with shibumi1 ,so I had to get the used original but what about the missing wires
no body seems to talk about it.
the technician said that I can fix it but there will be no audio control from screen beside other thing dont work

no worries..i didnt mention the wires because that would actually be the easy part bypassing the oem to add aftermarket is simple (if not tedious ).. but forming a dash kit (that i would personally want in MY car) is really hard.. exactly what features are you missing other than navigation?
