Default XM Update

My XM contract was up in early April and I tried to cancel. They just refused to shut me down. I finally got a nastygram yesterday and Bcalled. After telling them again to shut me down, they finally asked the magic question: what can we do to keep me. I told them I heard there was a $77 deal and I wanted that. After two transfers they agreed, but wanted to make it retroactive to April 6 because I've been getting the service. I told them that I quit listening and if they were dumb enough to ignore my replies to shut me down that was THEIR problem. Grudgingly they agreed and I got a full year (from now) for $77

Glad it worked for you, but it's nothing new. This deal has been around for a while now. $20 for 5 months was a much better deal, bu that promotion is now gone. When my promotion ended, I called and asked for the same thing (20 for 5), they said NO, so I said cancel. So instead of giving me 5 months for $20, they gave me 3 months for free. Can't beat that.

You guys got me beat! Anyway, the point is that there are deals to be had with XM/Sirius if you are willing to be tough with 'em.

I thought it was for the life of the radio, not our lifetime?

thats a good deal. when they did the merger and cut out XM Ch 65 The Rhyme old school hip hop channel, I raised all kinds of hell and told them I was leaving. After 15 min of back and forth, they put me on hold and came back with a lifetime subscription offer for $150..I was like, well, OK..I'll stay lmao. That was a crazy good deal. Then, about a month later due to overwhelming demand, they brought the channel back

no its a lifetime subscription.. i havent paid a sirius bill since Howard Stern came to sirius.. my Ls had factory xm so i had to sign a new contract w xm (even though they are the same company, still 2 different sections) at least it was is jan....

but to further explain it is lifetime on this acct, if i add another radio i'd have another payment. but if i get a new car i can transfer this acct to that car.. (3 free transfers then its $15 per transfer after)i doubt i'll ever need to do a new radio though bcuz i have both & unlimited online access(cell phone) for either company an i can listen to either online in my Gf's car on road trip jus use the headphone jack or thru bt.. we even sell an bt adapter so u can bt sirius/xm or pandora to any bt ready radio from ur phone...

Okay, I thought it was for the life of the radio. They have all kinds of deals. I think I paid 86.00 or 88.00 each vehicle per year last year and 2.99 per month for my I Phone. I had the 77.00 deal for three years before that.
