Default Lexus LS460 Convertible

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen an LS460 convertible or knows where to have one done aftermarket. The older SC's and the IS models are too small and not as luxurious. I have given thought to purchasing a low mileage 2008 or 2009 and then have a convertible installed but don't know where this can be done professionally. Any comments or suggestions or past experience from a forum member will be really appreciated!!! Larry

For the price of a fully loaded new LS you can buy this, or ACS Inc. did a 300c a whiiile back.

Ive seen 300c chargers and even challengers all made soft top convertibles but the cost is upwards of 15k (for cheap american cars) idk how much it would cost on the LS. im sure its possible as mentioned earlier west coast customs is the only place id trust but unless your a super star the budget will probably be way too high. But they can do it hey they even made a chop top COUPE S550.

A buddy of mines had WCC do a 300 for him years ago. They shortened the wheel base on the car and stretched the front doors but the roof that was on it was manual. Years later, coach builders made the roof powered. I remember a lot of drawings being thrown around before the car was even started to get an idea as to what it would look like, and if I was to have a convertible LS, this is the one I want. Minus the roof of course unless it a hard top.

There are some coach builders advertised in duPont Registry Magazine.

While not a vert, Audi made an A8 coupe concept over a decade ago

Rumors are strong the next Benz CL will be called S-class coupe again and there will be a convertible and maybe even a 4 door convertible as the Germans seem to create or enter any niche.

Lexus didn't design the original SC as a convertible but they did try to make one but were not satisfied with the cowl shake etc, thus the SC 430 was made to be a vert from day one. Here is a custom one
