We thought about doing it to ours but it’s a lot of work, yes it can be done but it will be very expensive. We can do it but it will take some time and be very custom. The S550 mentioned here leaked everywhere so that is not a good car to bring up, that car was done for Asanti and they sold it at auction for penny’s on the dollar because of all the issues.

We just cut up a Ferrari 599 GTB so that one of the ball players could get an extra 2-inches in the seat. He could not fit in the car and now he fits with no issues. To us its just sheet metal and we will cut anything up if someone wants to pay for it. Check out this metal work the complete car is a 66-67 Mustang made into one car all out of hand built steel. Everyone tells me that its fiberglass but here are the pics to prove the steel work

We need a legitimate convertable to compete with the other luxury car companies. We are Lexus, are we not!!!

 

Talking with the lexus folks at the Denver auto show this year, they said there is a design for the next LS to have a coupe, with I think is on par with other auto manufacture, but convertible, I don't think the LS would go there. A lot of things change when you pop the top off.
