Default Underpanel Paint Nicks

I've never seen this posted here and wonder why. What about the paint nicks on EVERY LS460 I've ever seen on the underpanel (under the doors) toward the rear tire? Esp. noticeable on darker colors. Is there a solution for this? Perhaps the 3M tape stuff? Here's a photo but it doesn't really show the nicks because the car is wet. But I am posting it anyway since a pic is worth 1000 words!

I have the same thing on my LS. I tried clay barring a good amount of the mess but the rest is fine scratches. I think the clear shield is the best bet. I have it on the fender at the base of the door but not on the skirts. This is what exposes them. Maybe I will have them do it at the nest oil change
