Default Protecting Paint

I'm thinking about putting on a clear bra to protect the front part of the car.

What is the best way to protect your car paint from fading and chipping? I'll try to park in the shade as much as possible to prevent the paint from fading over time. I'll wash the car more often and clay the car from time to time.

Any other advice?

Clear Bra or XPEL ultimate will do wonders! Heard good reviews so far from everyone on this forum on the protection it gives against rock chips as well as light/micro scratches.

Hands down the clear film/bra is the way to go. The installer doing mine is doing the entire front bumper, hood, mirrors, leading edge of fenders, roof, and head lights.

Also invest in a paint protection/sealer to protect from 'fall out' in the acid rain. My dealership wanted $1000 just for the paint sealer but it can be done much cheaper at a detailing place. Same for the clear bra.

If your car is white the paint protection is even more important.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm planning to get the IS200t eminent white pearl next month! When they apply the clear bra, do they wash your car first? lol

So you guys recommend XPEL clear bra brand?

Does anyone know a good place to do this clear bra?

Does this clear bra help protect that yellow tinting on the headlight?

Clear bra for sure for the front. Get Xpel Ultimate or Suntek. Both are self-healing.

I have a clear bra on the front bumper, mirrors, and partially the hood and so far it's saved me from some stone chips. I also had the whole car covered with Ceramic Pro to protect it from minor scratches, bug guts, tar, etc.

XPEL all the way. No regrets at all whatsoever.

It depends on who you go to and what package you get installed. I went to a fairly expensive, but very good detailer and paid $1500 for the highest Ceramic Pro package. That included application on the body, wheels, lights, and windows, as well as a lifetime warranty.

How many coats would be optimal? Since you live in Toronto I assume your winters are completely arable if not worse to the Midwest in the U.S. But does it really protect against scratches such as the ones from rubbing against a snow pile?

Hello all

I have a question regarding this ceramic coating...

I have (Wife's car) the 2015 is250, its a 3 year lease...We are not sure if we will keep the car, it depends on how the AWD performs in winter (compared to the subaru she had)...we will know after the first winter....So i don't want to invest 1000-1500 to do this ceramic coating right now...

So, can this ceramic coating be done AFTER a first winter or does it have to be done as soon as the car is bought?

Please let me know

Thanks
