I notice you are located in NY. I'm sure you are aware the LS460 comes with all wheel drive as one of the options. Not sure if the GS350 has all wheel available? I was going to purchase an Avalon several years back and went to the Lexus Dealer to try out the competive model to the Avalon, e.g. Lexus ES330. They did not have any ES in stock at the end of the year so I tried out the LS. No way I was going back to my decision to purchase the AVALON. I've owned several LS since. My suggestion is to drive the LS and compare it to the GS, make up your mind from there.

ls460 is a big step up, it's a very nice car. just make sure you are ready for losing some road feel and handling

I went from a GS300 (step down from your 350) into an LS460 2007 and there is no comparison between the two, the LS is hands down better in every category... IMO its 2x the car the GS is. For 2 seat fun I have an SC, for 4 seat fun I have the LS, but overall, The LS is my favorite car ever.

I went from an 07 GS350 to a 09 LS460. The LS is better in terms of noise and vibration, and smoother in terms of ride. I think the GS has better braking and better handling. Quality of interior materials, the LS is much better IMHO.

People may think I'm crazy but I prefer the 3GS. The LS is very nice but it's too big for me.

My wife and I test drove the 07 ls460L before we bought the 07 sc430. She didn't like the ls as much as my 06 gs430. True that the ls460L is more luxurious but you lose the braking, acceleration, and handling.

I traded a 07 gs350 I had for over two years for a new ls460 AWD last october. lot more road feel in the GS but a super ride in the LS. acceleration about the same. thats good. Miss my GS but the LS is a better fit for me. One drive will tell you the difference in ride and cornering
