Default All Weather Floormat Questions

This is a lame queation but I want to ask anyway.

So I was trying to get a set of o/e all-weather mat for my newborn (09 LS), but every dealership refused to sell because of the recall. I am not worry about the recall issue because I believe that is not really a problem but might be misused or not properly installed. I really love the quality of o/e mats from my purchase for another two vehicles.

Sewell sells another set but I kind of doubt it that it is o/e (I may be wrong) even the cost is about twice more but I can't adjust to spend more but getting less of the quality than the standard set.

Can someone hook me up for a standard all-weather set?

Can someone share pics of the standard all-weather set and the premium set?

Many thanks in advance,
Joseph

BTW, here are the pics for both sets.

o/e standard all-weather set that is now discontinued:

o/e (maybe) premium set:

The picture of the premium set looks so old and makes me feel it is actually a WalMart product... That is why I want to see if someone here can comment on this.

Please~~

Do a Google search for Weather Tech. Their floor mats are a similar thickness as the Lexus OEM

Look on ebay for this Item number: 360089201968

They are the same ones in your first pic.

Wow I just bought them on 9-22-09 and got them put in a few days later. I think I got them the same day the recall came out.
I think this is the new premium set.

The genuine Lexus all-weather mats have the appropriate eyelets for the floor mat retention clips in each mat.

Lucky you!!

This is funny that Toyota/Lexus have the best looking & quality mats and at very low cost ($80??); they must sell good but now they had to put it away.

I did my research on this new "premium set" but I believe it may not a genuine parts from Lexus. I had the parts manager in a local dealership to look up the part# from Sewell but it happens to be no good.

I am waiting a call from Sewell to see if it is in true black color. The premium set looks gray in pic, and the design looks so old to me and will cost around $250 to ship.

I am sorry about this mats shopping. I know I am picky on things.

I just went to one of this sights sponsors Carson Toyota L-Tuned parts, and they show the All Weather Mats like the top photo you posted. Price is $98.10. They're also available in either black or brown.

LOL, thx. That was the first place I tried. The manager is a good friend of mine/us. He would sell me one if he has any...

Thx again.

The Weather Tech mats don't fit as well as the factory Lexus mats. I've tried them...

I agree with Craig. I returned the Weathertech mats for my LS and got the Lexus ones from the dealership.

However, I got the stiffer molded ones for my wife's RX and they fit perfectly as they are custom made for each model. They don't look good but great for slush and snow!

I got the WeatherTech mats. They might not be as nice as the factory but they are close enough. Oddly, one of the retention clip holes on the driver's side was mislocated by about 3 inches I just drilled a new one.

Could this be the reason for the recall?

The recall didn't even apply to the LS, did it? Why would a dealer be reluctant to sell you mats?

My car was shipped in from Kansas, where they apparently include all-weather mats as pretty much standard issue. I just left them in place, since the carpet mats underneath them are a funky brown color and don't really match my alabaster interior.

I'd sell you mine, but they might catch me when my lease ends!
