Default Holy *&%^$#$ wind noise is gone!!!!!

i dont know where to begin. i am so happy.

it happened after they did the tsib for cross wind.

last month they did the other tsib for the driver door but it didnt fix it.

this time i told them to do the new tsib but also they had to redo the black rubber around the window from the previous tsib bc it was not alighned properly.

so they di the cross wind tsib and i noticed they fixed the seal around the window and also the black trim piece seems more snug and flush. befire i could kinda see in behind it a little more.

i dont know if its the cross wind peices they swapped or the fact that they realigned the rubber tim around window and put the black trim more snug or even did something else im not aware of for the original wind fix they did.

ALL I KNOW IS 100 MPH ON TURNPIKE AND NO WIND NOISE.

i can finally say i am happy to own this car again. WOO HOO

now i need the new nitto tires to fix the pulsation and passenger seat shaking probllem so i can have a smooth ride and i am all set!

100 MPH on the turnpike and no driver's license!!!

Hey, I'm glad you got your problem fixed. As I said on another post, I loved my old LS430 like my grandmother. I love my 460 like my mistress!

What model is the LS that this works on? I have a 2009 and am wondering if I should have this done. I haven't done the triangle fix yet.

Here is a link to LS TSIBs:

For the Jmcraney fix, please see the related thread:

Please note that the fix has had some revisions, check the end of the thread for recent updates.

I went to the dealer a year ago with printed documents. He said " Those documents are done by Technician outside toyota to gain more money."

lOl , whether you like it or not we will always be treated in that manner. Theyre just to lazy, the whole world knows there are issues regarding windnoise. They still want to spend more time selling cars than having a happy customer.

sadly i heard wind noise the other day..........i will need to monitor this. maybe those few days it wasnt as windy who knows?
i will keep an eye on it.
but not as bad as before. lets see if it comes back.

maybe the 98 degree weather here loosened some of the sticky tape holding the cross wind fix pieces.

Mark,

Sorry your bubble was burst with wind noise. I know how happy you were last week. At least you got the mud guards on without incident!! Maybe it's those 100mph jaunts up and down the turnpike??

Keep us posted

Seems like Jeff's triangle fix is still the best option.

I'm still good with my fix (not the triangle fix) that was done at Lexus. Went on a trip a couple of weeks ago and it was soooo nice. Sorry to hear Mark's wind noise came back, but doing good here and very happy. It is odd that it would come back....strange.
