Anyone know the stock wheel weights?

 

ummm, just a wild guess, but for the 18s i think they weight about 25-26lb usually (just for the rim). the rim with tire, i say around 50lb?

 

why don't they have these specs on the factory manual..

 

well, what for? if they put down every piece of info related to the car in the manual, that's gonna be like 10 phone books

 

I thought you were asking about the weights used to balance the wheel!

 

Some other car brands do have info like weight, offset(Infiniti does) of the stock wheels in their user manuals ...

I have an extra set of OEM 9-spoke wheels.

Just weighed one on our postal scale and it shows 27 lbs, 15.3 ounces. That's without TPMS sensors.

The only way this informs us if we had definitive weights for entire wheel setups. Including the OE tires for those wheels and could then compare to good aftermarket options. This would be for the OEM 18" and 19" options.

I assume it is to try and shed a bit of weight. Lighter wheel/tire combos pay dividends at speed. Better mileage, suspension is more reactive, following the road surface more easily, brakes work better, etc... If one could shed 3-5 lbs per corner it would make a significant difference.

 

Anyone know the weight of the '13+ hollow spoke wheels?
