Does anyone know if there is an update available for the Gracenote song database that is used for the Hard Drive Audio feature of the new LS? How often will they make the update available and is there a charge?

Would be nice to have as any new CD's that are loaded into the car are not recognized.

Its part of the NAV updates. Check with your dealer.

Cars with hard drives don't have a USB port so can't be updated by the owner

EDIT: For later cars with only a CD player (2013+ LS460s) Gracenote doesn't work with CDs, only MP3s, which already have the info in their ID3 tags (go figure that one)!

 

that update didn't work for my 2017 LS460 w/ NAV

But there is a place in the menu that allows you to update Gracenote from USB.Screenshot below
