Default Chaulky white interior - help needed

Hi - I posted this in Sticky dash thread - but wanted to start a new one to ask how / best to solve this. This is a result of the sticky trim syndrome which Lexus canada said is wear and tear and want nothing to do with it.
I have tried Aerospace 303 but after 1 day the black interior turns chalky. Any help would be appreciated as the car is 2007 LS460L and in mint condition and i drive only 3000km / year. But the interior chaulky look is now getting depressing to look at.
Any help / advise would be appreciated.
Also those that have had sticky dash / trim and Lexus decided not to do anything - what were you solutions to stop this or slow it down. Lexus Canada said it was only a US issue even though some states and provinces have similar weather.

These and other dash parts are covered (replaced) by Lexus under an extended warranty program. I believe, however, that it only covers LS's 10 years old or less. I would go ASAP to a Lexus dealer and see what they say. Do a search and you'll find many threads covering this exact issue. Good luck.

Appreciate response. Lexus Canada said it is wear and tear and that the Canadian cars had no interior issues which we all know is not the case. So having Lexus Canada doing anything is not an option. They said only the US cars were the issue - i know makes no sense. Lexus Canada is saying normal wear and tear so i am looking at how to fix this or make better so i can hang on to my car for the next couple of years.

I don't know if there's a fix for this problem. I tried on my '11 but nothing helped. Lexus did replace my interior including the dash and door panels. Have you tried contacting Lexus Regional office? I wouldn't give up.

In Canada they did not offer this warranty and said Canada was not an issue. I told them they probably only sold 10 cars in Canada compared to thousands in the USA. I was told it was wear and tear - i asked to get this in writing and yet to see anything from Lexus Canada. Basically they had selective VINs that had issues - and who knows how they decided which VINs.
I have a 1981 Pontiac with a better condition interior. I am not sure which direction to go next. I asked to speak to a supervisor - and was told he will return my call when it was convenient for them and within no timeframe and he will tell me the same thing i have been told. Yes that is how rude they are.

Contact a car/boat interior repair service like Dr Vinyl. They are experts at repairing and restoring vinyl, leather and interiors. Surely, Canada has some version of this type of franchise. Car dealers often have this type of service come by weekly to do repairs on trade in cars. They can refer you. I worked in the boating industry and was always amazed at the restorations they could accomplish. If Lexus Canada won't help, then help yourself.

You might want to try something like stickydashfix.com I would clear the area with the appropriate all purpose cleaner like koch chemie with the appropriate brush or tool, dry with lint free towel and give the sticky dash system a go. Try it on a piece you can remove like below the rear ac vent

Thanks for input. I am currently in discussions with StickDash.com to see if it will work on the chaulky white issue i am seeing. I will probably need to use that product on my dash as its started this year to get shiny and sticky. I agree with you to try it on a test piece and see how i get on. I am also meeting an upholstery expert on Saturday who wants to see the car to see what is the best thing that can be done to resolve. It is such a shame as i love the car but the interior issues are so surprising. Hopefully i can come to an economical fix to this.

in the US probably not lol let me know how it compares I got my whatever pillars under the seat belt recovered in the same fake leather, eco leather but probably more durable since it’s 2021 tech has improved, I think for 40 usd a piece and I had some other parts done that are parts of the rear table. Thing is Japanese leather is not as durable as what the Germans use. I spent 180 usd getting my steering wheel wrapped in napa leather because well no coating = nothing to flake off or wear unevenly which is the issue with semi aniline leather.. the coating cracks etc.. napa leather is much easier to take care of in the sense that you can hydrate and clean etc there’s not much you can do with coated leather unless you cover it, it’s not going to wear that well.

The stated cause was heat/humidity in the southern US states (hence the Not in Canada excuse).

You are right but when i told Lexus Canada that we do get hot/humid days also and hence why i am seeing the issue. It makes no sense for Lexus Canada to voluntarily offer recalls to everyone and anyone and its a shame that they are picking and choosing.

I went to two upholstery places and both were not able to provide a solution. If they cover it with new material the concern is they do not have the panel gap to put the trim pieces back. Also knowing that something is 'leaking' through causing the whiteness would not stop that coming through the new material or unsticking the new material.
I may buy a test piece from ebay and looking in to spraying -not sure how it will look but worth a try i guess.

That can be fixed with a heat gun. BUT, do it wrong and you'll melt the plastic and ruin it for good.

Do you think that would be a temp fix or something that needs to be done on a regular basis?

The thread link below may be of interest to you. I would've most likely gone this route had my dash pieces not been covered by warranty.
