Good to see Lexus partnering up for cancer research, like they did with the GS 450h. 
Also the details about the launch edition are quite sumptuous indeed.

TORRANCE, Calif., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Lexus and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center will partner once again this year to raise funds for medical research. A fundraising gala, The Road To A Cure, will take place Thursday, November 16 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to benefit The Board of Governors Center for Cancer Research at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute in Los Angeles.
Lexus, in its second consecutive year of participation, has donated the first of only 100 special launch-edition 2008 Lexus LS 600h L vehicles, which will go on sale in the spring of 2007. The first 100 LS 600h L vehicles will offer unique traits such as Truffle Mica exterior paint coupled with Alabaster leather and black trim interior, special alloy wheels, a commemorative interior badge, and a custom-made, three-piece Italian luggage set in coordinating Alabaster leather with black trim. The donated LS luxury hybrid sedan, which features the world's first full-hybrid V8 powertrain, will be presented by Cedars-Sinai in an opportunity drawing with all proceeds going to benefit the center's medical research.

Truffle Mica was part of the color chart page in the original LS teaser brochure handed out at auto shows earlier this year. Since then, of course, they decided not to offer the color. Good to see the color making a return of sorts to distinguish this special edition.

& I'm assuming that black wood trim mentioned is a unique trim that's like piano black ? Not like the dark grey wood trim paired with the light grey leather on regular LS's some people referred to as black ?
If that's the case, Henry might want to get his hands on a set of those with the steering wheel

Here is truffle Mica at...GORGEOUS COLOR! especially in suit with the alabaster..i think its on par with obsidian on black interior. Both would be my top two choices on this car. In perosn it looks even better. It is a grey with a brownish hue to it. i took these at the houston auto show this year.

yeah i want to know what kind of blackwood is that too. pleaes dont' be thsoe grey wood trim on the ls460 now, those aren't of any good. if it's anything like those on the PB sc430 then it's sick alreadyoh well, it's all dreams for me now anyway
