Default New LS460

I find the new LS460 to be too much like the GS430. I was hoping for the vehicle to look unique and much more classy than what it looks like now. Its too sporty for being the flagship. In my opinion this LS is just so so. What I do love about the vehicle is the interior and how well equipped it is. It kind of reminds me of the Maybach, the way how the rear seats recline. Another thing that is nice about the new LS is the fact that it comes in a long-wheel base and short-wheel base. Thanks Lexus USA and flipside for the pictures .

I too find the interior to be very nice from the pics. The artist concepts we've seen all have indicated this general body style and is one that I'm not initially liking. The sportiness doesn't bother me, to me the cars have a strong resemblence to eachother, just that they get bigger and more features.

What was pleasing to me was that the previous Lexus lines had distinctive characteristics and the sedans were readily distiguishable. Now they share a basic look which kinda has me
Among the line, the GS IMO has the nicest integration.

The sportiness actually doesn't bother me too I actually wish they had make the front even more aggressive. The car is already growing on me more, can't wait to see one in person . . .

Frankly, our LS''s have been getting rather "Buicky" in the last few years.

The new LS seems like a change in the right direction.

We shall see.

Actually my friend, Toyota has been doing reclining back seats since 1987. It was featured in the Toyota Crown along with heated rear seats, massager, self leveling suspension and speed adaptive steering.

BTW: the recliner and massager was on the right only back then too.

So the reclining seats are in no way a Maybach first.

Also, the look is part of their little L-Finesse scheme so it could be expected that the line would have some similarity.

I'm a big fan of the direction Lexus took with the new LS. My folks have a '05 LS430, which I find somewhat attractive from the front end (especially after the refreshening of the headlamps in '04). But the rear is pretty boring.

I never thought I'd consider a LS as my next car...way below the target demographic. But I just imagine the new LS with a subtle body kit and larger wheels...wow. But all bets may be off if my folks decide to also get the new LS...the '05 was leased as a temporary solution until the new LS came out. Can't imagine driving the same car as my parents :

Wait till you see it in person, I think it will look quite different from the GS.

Pictures don't do justice, and the funny thing is people had the same views when the 1st Gen LS4 debut back in Detroit, well guess what? LS4 is the best selling Lux in North America, and everywhere including this forum has at least one of the Generation LS, and appreciate everything about it........where it gets better from here on out, and the problem is???

Default Just saw the new LS 460L

I am the proud owner of a '06 GS 430 (blk/blk) and I just went to the Detroit Auto show and saw the new LS 460L, and let me tell you... WOW!!! I am in love with that car. The side profile does very much resemble a 7 Series BMW, but so what. It is absolutely beautiful. Funny, just a few cars over was the GS 450h, and I didn't even pay it any attention. I want the new LS 460L!!!
