Ive never seen a brake light in that area with just the key on when most of the warning lights are displayed so I'd say check your brake fluid reservoir level.

I have checked the fluid and it’s right at the minimum mark, that said brake fluid doesn’t go low unless the pads are wearing or I have a leak.

no leaks were found and I will take it to have my rear brakes checked as I think they are due, the fronts pads and rotors were replaced last year.

To my understanding, brake fluid shouldn’t get low unless there is a leak or the brake pads are wearing is that correct?

If you had a leak you'd have no brakes by now, as the pads wear the fluid level will go down.

Yes, the system will also SCREAM if it senses an actual leak. You likely are just low from service related level adjustments but a quick check is a good idea if there is any doubt. The lazy way is to just stoke the pedal like 15-20 times and see if the level moves at all, more involved way is to inspect the brake system
