Default Steering Column Meter - What Function?

I am just starting to look for LS 460's for sale in Australia.

Sometimes I am seeing a component on top of the steering column that I do not know what it is for.

Red Box highlighted in the above images.

The car is described by the Dealer as a 2006 LS460 "UI" package.

https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/det...G-AD-24288183/

It looks like the extra fuel gauge when a car is fitted with a dual fuel system petrol/LPG(Liquified Petroleum Gas - Propane).

Like in the taxi cabs I used to drive years ago.

But I am reasonably sure it is not.

The fitment would be out of character with the very advanced 1UR V8 that is in the LS 460.

And there is no tank in the boot/trunk, which are normally very obvious where fitted.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have had a good look in Partsouq, but their renderings are not very clear.

P.S. I have seen this component on some other Australian market 460's.

Driver monitoring system, it watches your eyes to check if you are getting tired

Image #3 clearly shows a conventional shifter in the centre console.

I would be rather surprised, if only for initial purchase price reasons, if 460's were used as police cars anywhere in the world

Thanks.

What is the acronym for that feature?

EDIT: Got it.

Driver Monitor Assist safety system.

Driver monitoring system, it watches your eyes to check if you are getting tired - in a nearly 20 year-old car?!!
