Default Steering Column difficult to move

I went out of town for two weeks. I tried driving the car when I got back, but the steering column is VERY stiff. Any idea as to what is going on, and what I can do about it? Thanks.

That's my guess. However, the CT does not have power steering fluid, so what else could be wrong with it?

Could be a failing electric power steering motor/system. Rare, but possible. Could also be lower voltage in the battery, since you let it sit for a while. Try leaving the car on and running for 20 minutes to ensure the low voltage battery is topped up, then try.
