No, a prybar works fine. It's pretty obvious when the upper balljoints go bad.
ok cool. I just checked mine are good. I was watching some videos and couple people mentioned their strut tower bracket was making a noise. That’s something to keep in mind as well. Rock auto order is complete and will tackle this once they arrive.
I would really recommend to do all 8, I have had way more luck (zero comebacks) with all 8 vs sometimes if I only do uppers something else wears out fast.
I will see what my budget right now allows but I was going to ask that question. I would love to just do them all but I couldn’t think of a reason to justify that when the ride was so comfortable. Obviously besides the clicks hear and there.
Ideally they all should be replaced for best results so Striker is correct on that, maybe even more for an awd because they have a camber adj on the lower main vs a “set the toe and let it go” alignments some shops will do on a rwd. A heavy car like the 460 could wear out tires pretty fast.
I replaced the upper arms and strut bar bushings on a ls400 I sold just so it would pass an inspection and the guy totalled it anyway.

damn totaled it. That sucks. Alright let me see what I can gather up and try to tackle it all. Thanks for info

Ive had that happen on a few cars I've sold as well, it made me sad since two of them were very low mile/actually nice examples of their type.
As you know the RWD can be adjusted, just almost no one wants to suffer that process/knows how. The shim kit existing is something I had to point out to my dealer and I still had to set most of it myself despite the fact I don't do alignments/have a machine for it.
never mind, just open the box. It comes with a new screw. I’ve been stuck trying to get this bolt out for two hours. Part of the control arm broke off inside. It looks like it’s wedge holding the bolt.
Wow that’s an in depth job but I did left both lowers. Took many hours. First time doing for me on this car. They were both bad so was sway bar links. I’ll show some pictures. I’m not good with this tech stuff. How do I tighten the sway I cannot hold the backing without damaging? The back right here on this link how do I hold back?
