At my 130k inspection, I needed front rotors and pads, with Lexus parts. They've been changed a few times.
I personally think the rotors are not big enough for the job
I Remember seeing a post where a member installed KYB Rotors and Pads. I would imagine the Calipers would. Need to be changed too.
Is anyone familiar with this conversion? As it does sound interesting.
I bought TRQ Front Brake Pad & Rotor kit then paid an independent shop near my house for $120 labor 3 months ago. So far so good and it's been very quiet. I do notice that there is more dust on the front wheels then the rear, I'm not sure if it's normal.
The rotors on the LS460 are notorious for warping. But wear should be pretty good. Note that you need access to Techstream to replace the pads and bleed/replace the fluid.

This is funny. I was always saying the same about all my previous Toyotas. I was always replacing OEM brakes with aftermarket ones because rotors were warping. My 2017 LS460 (RWD) is different somehow. I had aftermarket rotors and pads on this car when I bought it few years ago and it was bad. I have no idea why somebody decided to throw aftermarket brakes on it, car was only 30K miles old. Had some weird brake pedal pulsation and vibrations on hard braking from 70-80 mph and it was feeling weird, barely any feedback. Bought all 4 OEM rotors with pads and put them on. Got about 16K miles on them as of today and so far I'm happy. No vibrations at all, braking is smooth and predictable. Don't have to do any bleeding for the regular brake change, so I didn't use Techstream. With that being said, I did complete brake fluid change eventually and that can not be done correctly without Techstream for sure, pretty involved stuff.
