I dont think there was any sesnors on my 05 cts either. When I rant codes nothing said anything out of the ordinary for either one. 🙃 it's worth a shot though for them toncheck their diff.

Additional data point, in colder weather the transmission has zero issues. Also, the unit has at least 400,000 miles I'm shocked it works at all given the level of debris I found. Yesterday I had a flashing O/D light for the first time which was potentially great I could pull any codes see what's up. Sadly none are stored.
