Default Did anyone swap out

I’m just checking if any other LS430 owners had their transmission valve body swapped?

I've seen threads here that say it was the torque converter as well as valve body replacement. The transmissions are rarely completely shot on the LS. Complete trans is not likely. It can be tough finding a competent shop. As the scan didn't show any valve issues. Many have found that a partial drain and fill solves the issue. I'd do that first. It's inexpensive and may be all that's needed especially if it's never been done and over 100k miles on the car.

Thank you for your input. The transmission filter and new Toyota ATF AW Fluid drain and fill will be done next. I am thinking that it might to good to also replace the valve body with an remanufactured one also but still debating as I may just sell the car and leave the transmission fix for the buyer to figure it out. I’m guessing it’s a fluid change and filter and possible valve body swap.

Definitely start with replacing the transmission fluid and filter. Make sure you properly set the fluid level after the fact also. If you still experience issues I'd try to find a reputable shop to troubleshoot before firing the parts cannon. I also remember a handful of folks that ended up needing to replace their torque converter over the last few years.

Are you considering selling because of the trans flaring? I see you repaired the ABS brake system recently. Are there other issues with the car. This type of issue is commonly fixed by doing a drain and fill. Unless you're not giving us all the details,

Depending on how long it has been since a drain and fill you might need to do it 2x or possibly 3x...
