Trans issues - Hard shifts, Pressure Solenoid Codes
Hello all looking for some insight on a trans issue I've been experiencing. Car is an 07 w/161k
Car will shift fine through 1-3 when it attempts to shift to 4th rpms will shoot up as if it's in neutral then slam into the next gear, sometimes I'll hear a squeal-ish? noise.... Also get a pretty bad/clunky downshift when coasting to a stop. Manual shifting seems to help a little, but not much. Reverse is also a very hard engagement or sometimes stuck entirely requiring me to tap the gas a couple times resulting in another hard engagement this all after the trans is warmed up by the way.
Morning/cold shifts are usually normal until trans gets to temp, then it gets pretty bad. A Carista ODB scan results in 3 separate codes P2714/P0796/P2808 (Pressure control solenoid' "C/D and G" performance/stuck off) I've had the trans fluid level looked at by an indy shop, they said it was a little low and filled a little bit to no avail. It's never been flushed completely.
I can't find too much info regarding these specific codes, hoping it not being an issue with the actual transmission itself (I've looked everywhere can't seem to find a used 07/8 trans anywhere!?) I found an entire remanufactured trans valve body with new solenoids I'm thinking of buying rather than going through all the trouble troubleshooting the existing old, tired setup.
Anything else I should be trying before dropping the $$ on this? I'd love to get a bit more life out of the car as I use it to travel across the state pretty often for work and it's been great to me so far.
On a side note, if it does come down to this. Anyone have a recommendation for a shop in Houston or surrounding area that I could take to get this done?
Thanks for any insight into this!

I have seen a similar thread recently. I believe, it was resolved by replacing the offending part and its harness.

I have a 07 with about 130K miles and is having same symptoms. RPM shoots up between 3rd and 4th and delayed reverse. However, I have no DTCs codes.
Do you have any update with your issue? Thank you.
P.S.
I think this is a good read for diagnosing LS460 transmission issue:

In the article, the faulty solenoid is the "Shift Solenoid SR". The symptoms described in the article is different than mine.
