Default Are these OEM wiper blades?

I can't see any part number. I'm assuming OEM blades would have a part number, correct? They do clip on and off very easily but the driver side is squeaking. It wipes fine though.

I think blades were put on right before I bought the car because the passenger side still had that yellow protective sleeve on it lol. So I'm assuming these are aftermarket. I just wanted to make doubly sure before I order OEM blades from the dealer.

If you can see metal strips on both sides of the blades like in this pic they are original equipment.

@Gerf Thank you so much! Mine are without a doubt not factory. They definitely do not have that metal and they lack the bulky look of OEM.

I'll be ordering a set today. By the way, it's hard to tell from the diagram on Lexus parts.com but do the wiper blades come with the inserts or do I have to buy them separately?

I would imagine they come with them but I've never bought them before...

Ask the blade seller. But I would expect for the rubber to be included. In the future, it’s cheap ($15) and easy to buy OEM rubber refills and keep the OEM part for years to come. Most report great results with OEM.

Forget oem blades, Just go to advanced auto and pic up some Trico blades, Much easier to install than the rubber itself ,About 25.00 each

I have always come back to the OEM blades. Those are made by Delco and are excellent. I've tried them all and always come back to the OEM.

I forgot to call the dealer after work but looking at the diagrams and a picture I found online from another OEM supplier, I think the inserts are included.

I just went ahead and ordered them. And since there was a sale going on I bought a few other things as well, including the all weather floor mats. I actually wasn't planning on buying them since winter is a ways away but the deal was so good I figured I might as well pick them up now. I actually found a dealer in New Jersey with really low prices and shipping was free thanks to the promotion. Thanks to the sale, I only paid $62 for the floor mats and the wiper blades were like $18 each.

Anyway, I've been using whatever the most expensive Rain-X wipers are for years. I use them on my 2004 430 and 2007 460 L and have been incredibly happy with them in terms of performance. However, on my 2007, when I have the music off I can hear a slight clunk at the end of the cycle. It doesn't sound like the motor, it sounds like the wiper banging. It's weird.

On my F Sport, I don't have any kind of a clunk but I have a squeak lol. Given that, I figured I would just try OEM since a lot of people here seem to rave about them. I'll see how it goes.

See spoiler for my good deal spoils.

Great job of deal shopping. Excellent prices. From posts I’ve read here over many years, I don’t recall anyone ever complaining about OEM wipers. I have read complaints on aftermarket brands. When the rubber has worn in these new wipers, Toyota refills are available. Rubber only. You need to carefully remove the metal strips from the old rubber. Just take your time and don’t force anything. Once bent the metal “springs” are worthless. AMAZ and EBa Are great sources typically from dealers selling discount on those platforms. Have you looked into replacing air filters under the front seats. They are often overlooked and quite dirty. They keep the ventilated seats flowing. About $25-30 for a pair. DIY. There’s also a pollution sensor filter at the front top passenger side of radiator. It’s inside the sensor and easy to remove and wash with mild detergent.

I bought the refills for my ES and had so much trouble with them, I said to hell with it. For not much more, I bought the OEM entire blade. I'm embarrassed at how long it took to try to install the refills, and I gave up. This is coming from someone who has done a great deal of work on cars--ac systems, water pumps/timing belts, suspension, etc.; yet I couldn't get the refills in and cut my hand on the metal strip to make it even worse. I won't waste my time on those things again.

Sorry to hear you had such difficulty. My experience on the LS was different. No wonder you bought the whole blade. I don’t recall my wiper experience with my ES.

I just went to the Toyota dealership and bought a set of the OEM replacement blades. It was a 5 min job. A little pricey at $45.33 out the door but hey I got a 100,000 miles and 12 years out of the originals. The car is kept in a garage and I try not to drive it in the rain so they did not get used much

I use the original blades and get replacement rubber refill strips from Amazon. They work fine and last about a year.

I got mine for a set of inserts for $1.26 on eBay sometimes agp. Price is probably higher now. I bought a lot. I maintain four windshields and one rear wiper. I have more time than money.
