Default Phone/voice commands issues

I’ve tried to find someone who’s experienced this issue, but no one seems to have any answers on this.

When I got my LS, someone installed a cheap aftermarket Chinese head unit that was an absolutely nightmare to use. I hated using it so I went and bought an OEM one, and I finally got around to pairing my phone to it. I called my girlfriend as a test, but for whatever reason, the only speaker that outputs her voice is the front left dash speaker. It’s incredibly muffled and I’ve tried to turn the volume up for the phone output, but it’s still really quiet. Is there something I’m missing here? Or is this just something happens when you pair an iPhone 13 with a car from 2007?

Do you have OEM amplifier in that car? Maybe whoever installed that aftermarket thing in your car messed up the rest of the system as well. How does the rest of your audio works?

I’m not sure that anything could’ve been messed up. The entire unit was plug and play, no wiring or cutting or nothing required. And yes, I have the factory ML amp. The rest of the audio system works perfectly, which is puzzling that the voice recognition and the phone audio only come out of one speaker

I'm pretty sure that is normal (the left front speaker). It works that way on my 2008 LS with ML/Nav.

I think it is normal. There was a setting in my phone that adjusted the level of someone speaking when connected to a Bluetooth handsfree device. I turned that to max and now I can hear everyone crystal clear now
